She enjoyed winter vacations in Las Vegas, Nevada, with her sister, Jean (Chick) Valenti and dearest friend, Jean Formell. Playing cards, dominoes, and blackjack, were a favorite pastime for her. She loved helping to raise her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rita was cared for by her daughter, Bernie over the last eight years as well as caregivers, Ericka, Amanda, Mallory, Catrina, Debbie, Bryanna, and Cheyenne of Home Health Care Professionals. The family wishes to give special thanks to these caregivers for their love and support.

When I saw Rita's obituary my memory was immediately flooded with good memories of times we spent with she and Jackie when we were little and before they moved to California. Both were great with kids and made me laugh. Rita had a wonderful laugh and warmth that I never forgot! Patrick Sherman
