Green Bay, WI – Shaughn V. Hanley, 66, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2026.
He was born on January 7, 1960, in Stambaugh, Michigan, to the late David and Mary (Kotlowski) Hanley.
Shaughn was best known for his quick wit and fun-loving personality. He had a big heart and an exceptional ability to connect with people, qualities that contributed greatly to his successful career in international sales. People were naturally drawn to him. Throughout his travels abroad, he formed many lasting friendships, including Werner in Germany and Bandid in Thailand.
His career spanned more than 40 years, and he took great pride in achieving multi-million-mile flyer status. He could often be found relaxing in the Delta Sky Club between flights. Over the years, he became comfortable with a variety of languages, customs, and cultures, always accepting and appreciative of people from all nationalities and backgrounds.
In his spare time, Shaughn enjoyed family camping trips, skiing, snowmobiling, and just about anything that required hard work and determination. Whether it involved construction, mechanics, or automation projects, he always found a way to get the job done.
Shaughn is survived by his brothers, Tim Hanley, Scott (Anne) Hanley, and Shane Hanley; and his sisters, Valerie (Dave) Carpenter, Robin (Bill) Ritchie, Karen (Bill) Kaczmarowski, Bonnie (Brian) Pionke, Eileen (Robert) Seppala, and Sherry (Johnny) Jaramillo. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Several held a particularly special place in his heart, including Alex Hanley, Andrew Carpenter, Jake Carpenter, and Jessica Mohr. They stood by his side through life's challenges
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Chris Hanley.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Cemetery Park in Iron Mountain, Michigan, with Pastor Mike March officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery.
