The dad he didn't have to be

My mom ( Donna Albright ) and dad married when I was 5-6 years old . When they were dating my brother and I were included at times. When our bitrth father didn't want us dad stepped up, and kept my brother and I from being fatherless. I remember never being hungry, or going without anything we needed. To think one day he's single the next he's married and has two sons. I know that's a lot to handle, but dad did it. Were there rough times, most definitly, Mom and dad's marriage ended when I was a sophomoer in high school. When my mom through me out, dad took me in.Things were going vey well until dad married Donna ( his wife now ) and I didn't make it easy for him. Dad and I were in constant struggles. We put him in the middle continuously. I was very disrespectful. I remember him saying , "I feel like I'm walking on egg sells around you". We said and did many hurtful things each other..I know now as a dad myself what he was trying to get through to me.... A few years ago my wife and kids and I went to Pembine when dad invited us...Dad and I sat and talked, and we both forgave each other for everything...I wish I could've known the hug he gave me was going to be the last one I would ever recieve from my dad...I wish I had seen him more, but time passes so fast and the days turn into years. We still talked from time to time on F/B chat. Dad knew I love him,and I know he loved me...Even though we are  not mentoned in dad's obituary, dad has 2 sons and a bunch of grand kids. He met my daughters, I don't know,if dad met Davids...I love you dad
