Obituary for Dale E. Duff

Dale E.  Duff
Dale E. Duff, 79, of Iron Mountain, passed away Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Bellin Memorial Hospital, Green Bay.

He was born December 6, 1935, in Duluth, Minn. son of the late Loren and Hazel (Wheeler) Duff.

Dale grew up in Duluth and graduated from Denfield High School, Class of 1954. He married Joanne Tucker; she preceded him in death in 1982. Dale worked for the Electrical Supply House as a salesman and later for the Crane Company, both in Duluth. In 1965, Dale relocated to Iron Mountain where he became a salesman for Wittock Supply/U.P. Electric. In 1987, he purchased Wittock Supply/U.P. Electric with his two partners, George Anderson and Fred Schulke. In 2001, they sold their share of the business. Dale married Darlene MacDonald on April 29, 1983, at the First Presbyterian Church, Kingsford.

He was a former member of Big Brothers, Iron Mountain-Kingsford Kiwanis Club, Iron Mountain Elks Lodge, Pine Grove Country Club, Oak Crest Country Club, Dickinson Area Chamber of Commerce and the Barber Shop Chorus.

Dale loved golfing and singing. He will be missed by his family and many friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Darlene; three sons, Jeff (Elizabeth) Duff, Fennimore, Wis., Scott (Shelley) Duff, Sobieski, Wis. and Patrick (Pattiann) Duff, Iron Mountain; one daughter, Kerri (Randy Hovey) Duff, Wakefield, Mich.; step-children, Jim (Sandy) Petroff, Spread Eagle, Tom (Lynn) Petroff, Marquette, Mich. and Sandi (Dean) Lefebvre, Iron Mountain; nineteen grandchildren, Alex (Linda), Megan, Jackson, Matthew, Tucker, Stephen, Cormick, Garrett, Ryan (Jessica) Adam (Leslie), Tim, Tori, Allison, Sara (Kevin), Rick (Shantelle), Lauren (Brandon), Kyle, TJ and Jacob; five great-grandchildren, Conor, Charlotte, Caraline, Chase and Kadence and numerous nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by two brothers, Bradley and Loren Duff.

Visitation will be held Monday, November 23, 2015, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Funeral Services will be held Monday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Michael March will officiate.

A Memorial will be established in Dale’s memory.
