We will always remember our weekends at Sealion Lake over these 30 + years. The tubing down the Pine River and out to Beaver Island always hauling enough beer and food to sustain the trips, visiting beautiful La Salle falls in the area, rock collecting, many visits to area eateries (sometimes not remembering what we ate after a lengthy wait), The bonfires with a never ending stockpile of wood, the canon firings which kept a watch over Fort Haevers and the entire Lake on alert! We especially remember the engagement party during a thunderstorm with a pile of broken Champagne bottles. We enjoyed one last fresh caught fish fry this past June which was out of this world and done Haevers style! It had to be very difficult but Craig was a very determined person, he didn't want any help. He wanted to do this for his friends, a selfless act for which he was renown for. We ate all there was and it was fantastic! I will especially remember the largest water spiders I have ever seen and am thankful Craig would put them away for the weekend. He did this for the safekeeping of the spider! We have many memories of a guy who lived life to the fullest and we will have lots of conversation for future campfires!
