Obituary for Craig M Haevers

Craig M. Haevers, 75, of Florence, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015, at his home.

He was born June 19, 1940, in Green Bay, Wis., son of the late Clifford and Dorothy (Francken) Haevers.

Craig grew up in De Pere, Wis. and graduated from Abbot Penning’s High School, De Pere. He joined the United States Army in 1965, and was honorably discharged in 1969. Craig married Kim Kaster on June 11, 1993, in Green Bay. He worked for Nelson Machine and Welding and United Construction, as a Welder, prior to his retirement. Craig enjoyed hunting and fishing and living up North in the home he built.

He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Kim Haevers, Florence; two sons, Aaron (Brandi) Pumphrey, Manitowoc, Wis. and Arick Pumphrey, Florence; two daughters, Jennifer (Tim) Francois and Amy Wilde, both of Green Bay; one brother, Claude (Linda) Haevers, De Pere, Wis.; one sister, Virginia (John) Keto, Austin, Tex.; two sisters-in-law, Connie Haevers, Grafton, Wis. and Pat Haevers, De Pere; three grandchildren, Josh Stephanus, Jacob Stephanus, Garon Wilde; one great-grandchild, Joshua William Craig Stephanus; eight nieces and nephews, Shelly Bultman, Scott Haevers, Teri Gardner, Joe Haevers, Tara Haevers, Kisha Brunette, Eric Keto and Jenny Keto.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Arnold and numerous Aunts and Uncles.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 7, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Fr. Ray Valerio will officiate.

Craig’s family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Singh and his staff at the Oscar G. Johnson Veteran’s Hospital for the many years of excellent care.
