Obituary for William G. "Buddy" Weier

William G. "Buddy"  Weier
Florence-William G. “Buddy” Weier, age 57, of Florence, Wis., passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018, at his home, surrounded by his loved ones.

He was born July 16, 1961, in Crystal Falls, Mich., son of William Weier and Judy (Roberts) Huffman. Buddy grew up in Florence and graduated Florence High School, Class of 1979. He worked for Khoury Brothers for years and Pride Manufacturing, now known as Florence Hardwoods.

Buddy enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, grilling chicken and golfing. He enjoyed cook outs with family and friends and especially being around those he loved.

Survivors include his parents, Judy and Tom Huffman, Florence, Wis.; three daughters, Tracy (Trever) Mashak, Menasha, Wis., Samantha (Ryan) Vassar, Florence, Wis. and Valerie Grailer, Florence, Wis.; four grandchildren, Caleb and Sophia Mashak, Victoria (Jeff) Friend and Eli Marefke; and four sisters, Sandra (Jim Olson) Weier, Florence, Wis., Melissa Cherry, Green Bay, Wis., Shevonne (Paul) Andersen, Elm Grove, Wis. and Michelle (Dan) Dorn, Abrams, Wis.; long time friend and companion, Amy Chereskin, Spread Eagle, Wis. Buddy is also survived by his grandmother, Mary Roberts, Iron River, Mich., many in-laws, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Buddy was preceded in death by his father, William Weier; maternal grandfather, George Roberts; paternal grandparents, William and Norine Weier.

A celebration of Buddy’s life will take place Saturday, September 1, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Northern Lites, Florence, Wis.
