Obituary for James E. "Jim" Jackson
Crystal Falls-James E. Jackson, age 73, of Crystal Falls, Mich., passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018, at Aspirus Hospital, Iron River, Mich.
He was on born January 18, 1945 in Buchanan, Georgia, son of the late James and Iv (Eaves) Jackson. Jim grew up in Bren, Georgia and married Roberta Harrington in January of 1978 in Crystal Falls, Mich. They made Crystal Falls their home. Jim was self employed and worked many years as a mechanic in the Crystal Falls area. He was known by the people in the area to be able to fix just about any engine.
Jim enjoyed camping, fishing, and especially the time spent with his family and friends.
He is survived by loving wife of 40 years, Roberta; two sons, Michael (Heather Clemo) Jackson, Crystal Falls, Mich. and Craig Jackson, Georgia; four daughters, Alice Jackson, Wausau, Wis., Barbara (Brian) Cherubini, Crystal Falls, Mich., Teresa Jackson, Gwinn, Mich. and Kathy (Robert Pivatto) Jackson, Crystal Falls, Mich.; 10 grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Aaron, Austin, Cody, Jessica, Angel, Robert, Dominic, and Peyton; and by a good friend, John Faccin, Crystal Falls, Mich.
In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by one daughter, Melissa; one granddaughter, Ashley; and one sister, Mary Francis Sheley.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 3, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls, Mich. The funeral service will be held Friday, 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls.
