Obituary for Charles V. "Chuck" Lehtinen

Charles V. "Chuck"  Lehtinen
Crystal Falls – Charles Victor Lehtinen, 65, of Crystal Falls, Mich. passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018, at his home.

He was born on May 30, 1952, in Crystal Falls, son of the late Charles and Amelia (Hulko) Lehtinen. Chuck would have celebrated his 66th birthday on May 30th. He grew up in Crystal Falls and graduated from Crystal Falls High School, Class of 1970. Out of high school, he served in the US Navy and was honorably discharged June 17, 1980. Chuck went on to attend Western Michigan University where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree; he later continued his education by attending Washington State University. Chuck went to work for Mead Paper, Standard Oil of California, and Miller Brewing Company as a Computer Analyst

Chuck is survived by one brother Frank (Karla) Suheski, Florence, Wis.; one great-nephew Adrian Suheski; one sister Char (Jack) Brown (Lehtinen), Shelbyville, Mich.; one nephew Chet Brown; two nieces Rebecca Colon and Abigail Houghton. He leaves behind these people to cherish his memory.

In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his half-sister Marie Burns.

He was a generous person, who loved animals and supported the ASPCA (American Association for the Protection of Cruelty to Animals). Chuck liked to live a healthy life and chose to follow a vegan lifestyle.

Private family services were held.
