Obituary for Leonard H. Tremain

Leonard H.  Tremain
Iron Mountain-Leonard H. Tremain, 81, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017, at his home.

He was born December 7, 1935, in Iron Mountain, son of the late Arthur and Harriet (LaChapelle) Tremain. Leonard was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain and was a graduate of Iron Mountain High School, Class of 1954. He served in the United States Air Force and upon his honorable discharge returned to Iron Mountain. Leonard married Barbara Nead on July 25, 1997, at First United Methodist Church, Iron Mountain.

He worked for AT&T as a lineman for many years before retiring. Leonard enjoyed many hobbies including traveling, wintering in Florida, loved watching hockey, football and was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Barbara; three sons, Brian Tremain, Fond du lac, Wis., Josh Tremain, Appleton, Wis. and James (Amy) Raboin, De Pere, Wis.; four daughters, Sherri Olsen, Louisiana, Susan (Dave) Bednarz, Green Bay, Wis., Sheri Pultz, Niagara, Wis. and Cindy Raboin, Green Bay, Wis.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and two nieces, including Tammi Corro, Milwaukee, Wis.

In addition to his parents, Leonard was preceded in death by two sons, Johnathon and Steven Tremain and one brother, Butch Tremain.

Visitation will be held Friday, May 19, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Walter P. Reichle will officiate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain. The Uren-Cooper Johnson Post #50, Iron Mountain will accord military honors at graveside.
