Obituary for Rodney A. Visintainer

Rodney A.  Visintainer
Quinnesec-Rodney A. Visintainer, 73, of Quinnesec, Mich., passed away Monday, April 24, 2017 at his home following a brief battle with cancer.

He was born on February 22, 1944 in Norway, Mich., son of the late Roland and Helen (Oizle) Visintainer. Rodney grew up in Quinnesec, Mich. and was a mechanic and mason all of his life. He worked for the local union #39 as a mason, retiring in 2006. Rodney was proud to have worked on so many projects with his good friend, Kenny Reil, throughout the local area over the years. He was most proud of his unique automotive creations.

Rodney enjoyed vacationing in Florida, attending Bike Week at Daytona, and cherished the time spent with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include three sons, Scott (Lisa) Visintainer, Aurora, Wis., Shane (Rachael) Visintainer, Iron Mountain and Shawn (Ashley Kinsella) Visintainer, Kingsford; nine grandchildren, Cassandra, Holden, Brett and Colin Visintainer, Colin and Conner Erickson, Nathan and Landen Kenny and Taylor Visintainer; one great-grandson, Lian; two brothers, Ronald (Kathy) Visintainer and Raymond (Marilyn) Visintainer, both of Sagola, Mich.; three sisters, Mary Groeneveld, Kathleen (Marvin) Chartier and Patricia (Tom) Pearman, all of Norway, Mich.; and his good buddy, Ryan (Nikki) Wender, Breitung Twp., Mich.

In addition to his parents Rodney was preceded in death by his special friend, Marie Bianco and one brother, Duane Visintainer.

In accordance with Rodney’s wishes, private family services will be held.
