Obituary for Leonard W. Henderson

Leonard W.  Henderson

Kingsford-Leonard W. Henderson, 71, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at his home.

He was born March 4, 1945 in Rome, Georgia, son of the late William and Betty (Brownlow) Henderson. Leonard was raised in lower Michigan and attended school there. He served in the United States Navy and the United States Marines, and after being Honorably Discharged from the service moved to Kingsford, Mich. He served in the United States Nation Guard in Kingsford and later went to work for the United States Postal Service as a clerk, where he worked for many years before retiring.

Leonard is survived by one son, Jason Henderson and one daughter, Deana Henderson, both of Kingsford; one sister, Darlene (Buddy) Smith, Georgia; six grandchildren, Jessica, Ashley, Cassandra, Holden, Kaitlyn and Amber; four great-grandchildren, Daniel, Joey, Hayden and Liam; and two nieces, Becky and Lola.

A family gathering in Leonard’s memory will be held.
