Charles G. "Charlie"  Cross

Charles G. “Charlie” Cross, 67, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Bay Area Medical Center in Marinette, Wisc.

He was born June 27, 1949 in Libertyville, Ill., son of the late Elmer and Sonja (Edman) Cross. Charlie grew up in Schofield, Wisc., where he graduated from high school. He went on to attend college at the University of WI-Eau Claire where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art’s and then went on to attend University of WI-Superior, where he received his Master’s Degree in Fine Arts. Charlie worked many years in the art industry in both Minneapolis, Minn. and in California. While in California he met Nancy Schroeder who he married on September 25, 1993 in Iron Mountain, Mich.

Charlie was a dealer for Snap On Tools for one year in the Iron Mountain area before going to work for N.A.P.A. Auto Parts in Kingsford. He then went on the road where he worked as a salesperson for several different companies. Charlie enjoyed hunting, and was an avid sports car enthusiast, owning both a Triumph TR-3 and TR-6 which he was very proud of and he toured the vehicles to many car shows.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Nancy; one son, Mike (Carrie) Cross, Ventura, Calif.; two granddaughters, Cassidy and Chloe and by many sisters-in laws; brothers-in-law; nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Charlie was preceded in death by one sister, Glorian Scott.

In accordance with Charlies wishes, private family services will be held at a later date.
