Obituary for Daniel R. Rochon

Daniel R.  Rochon
Iron Mountain-Daniel R. Rochon, age 48, of Iron Mountain, passed away Sunday, September 11, 2016 at University Hospital, Madison, Wisc.

He was born on April 24, 1968 in Iron Mountain, son of Robert Rochon and the late, Patricia Ann Freeman. Dan attended and graduated from Kingsford High School, Class of 1986. He attended college in Green Bay before traveling to Austin, Texas, and Atlanta, Georgia. He married Jill Trumbley on November 20, 1992 in Iron Mountain.

He was employed by Culligan Water Specialist in Iron Mountain, Beck’s Lawn Care and Maintenance, and also Cable Contractors CCI, Iron Mountain.

Dan enjoyed many hobbies including collecting Hot Wheel cars, Star Wars, Kiss memorabilia, Marvel Comic Books and toys and old toys. He was an avid fan of the Grateful Dead, Kiss and The Doors.

His greatest past times were being home with his family, fishing and spending time with his friends.

He is survived by his wife, Jill and his son, Noah Rochon; his father, Robert (Debby) Rochon, Iron Mountain; two sisters, Kelly (Mike) Floriano, Iron Mountain and Christina Chartier-DeMorrow, Lower Mich; mother-in-law, Phyllis Lucas, Iron Mountain; two brothers, Shawn Rochon, Milwaukee, Wisc. and Jared (Linda) Rochon Walled Lake, Mich; one sister-in-law, Janice (Tim) Trumbley-Raymer, Wausau, Wisc.; one brother-in-law, Jerry (Sarah) Trumbley, Ishpeming, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.

Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Ann Freeman, 1997, and by his father-in-law, Gerald Trumbley, 2010.

Visitation will be held Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Funeral Services will be held Saturday at 6:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home. Pastor Kevin Sullivan will officiate.

A Memorial will be established in Dan’s memory.
