Obituary for Jeremy J. Nelson

Jeremy J.  Nelson
Iron Mountain-Jeremy J. Nelson, age 30, of Kingsford, Mich., passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at his home.

He was born on March 20, 1986 in Cloquet, Minn., son of John and Joan (Gould) Nelson. Jeremy grew up in Cottage Grove, Minn. until the age of 10 at which time he moved to Spread Eagle, Wis., and attended Florence High School. He graduated with the class of 2004.

Jeremy attended Itasca Community College in Grand Rapids, Minn., where he received an associate degree. He then went on to attend Bay de Noc Community College where he received an Associate Degree in Computer Science in 2009. He was employed by Cable Contractors, Inc. (CCI) as an IT Specialist since 2009.
Jeremy married Ashly Klenovich on May 19, 2012.

He enjoyed video games, computers, electronics and was always available to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Jeremy was an active member of the Florence County Snowmobile Club in which he developed their website and maintained it.

Jeremy is survived by his loving wife, Ashly, his parents, John and Joan Nelson of Spread Eagle, Wis., his father-in-law, Michael (Marsha Simonis) Klenovich, Green Bay, Wis., one brother, Greg James Nelson, New Richmond, Wis., aunts, Deborah Nelson and Bobbi Jo Nelson, both of Whipholt, Minn., and Gigi (Joe) Black, of Rancho Palos Verdes, Calif., one uncle, Wallace Gould, Proctor, Minn., a cousin, Rob Nelson, Whipholt, Minn., special friends, Nik Wilber, Lindy Morin, Aimee Schneider and Chris Cobeen, his cat, Shady, as well as numerous other cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Tammy Klenovich, one uncle, Jay Gould and an Aunt, Margaret Peer.

Visitation will be held Monday, June 20, 2016 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be held Monday, 6:00 PM at the funeral home. Rev. Fr. Ray Valerio will officiate.
