Loretta  Sturgeon (Sturgeon)
Iron Mountain-Loretta Sturgeon, age 79, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at her home. She was born August 7, 1936 in Chicago, Ill., daughter of the late Walter and Estella (Barbour) Sturgeon.

Loretta grew up in Chicago and attended Fenger High School in Chicago, Ill.. She later worked as an assembly worker for United Air Cleaners in Chicago for many years. Loretta moved to Iron Mountain in 2001.

She enjoyed garage sales, shopping and loved animals. Loretta was known by everyone to be a very caring person and was always available to help others.

Loretta is survived by three sisters, Alice Lusinski, Thorton, Ill., Vera Hildebrand, Cairo, Mo., and Virginia Fier, Iron Mountain; a niece, Sandy (Daniel) Hartman, Pembine, Wis., as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harry and John Sturgeon and two sisters, Maude and Betty.

In accordance with Loretta’s wishes private family services were held.
