Obituary for Roxanne Ottinger (DeGrave)

Roxanne  Ottinger (DeGrave)
Florence – Roxanne Ottinger, 44, of Florence, Wis. passed away Friday, May 20, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, Wis.

She was born on January 12, 1972, in Iron Mountain, Mich. daughter of Ronald & Mary (Cook) DeGrave.

Roxanne grew up in Florence and graduated from Florence High School, Class of 1991. She worked as a babysitter for many families in the area, was employed for a few years at the Pine Mountain Lodge and she served as secretary for the Iron Mountain/Kingsford Elks Lodge No. 700 for two years. Roxanne will be remembered by many as the news carrier for the Iron Mountain Daily News and the Dickinson County Advertiser. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Iron Mountain

Roxanne enjoyed hunting, fishing, grilling potatoes and onions on the grill, her dogs, birds, guinea pigs, her pet chicken “Cluck” and especially spending time with her family and many friends.

She is survived by her husband Larry of Florence; her parents, Ronald and Mary (DeGrave) Cook of Florence; one Brother-in-Law, Jay Ottinger of Texas; her step-father, Larry DeCamp of Quinnesec, Mich.; Uncles, Ed Lortie of Iron Mountain, Roger (Juanita) Spade of Dunbar, Wis., Douglas Lund of Spread Eagle, Wis.; Aunts, Diane (Harry) Lund-Johnson of Foster City, Mich.; Great-Aunts, Dorothy Burkhart of Iron Mountain, Marie Collins of Kingsford, Janice Cretton of Iron Mountain, Margaret DeGrave of San Antonio, Tex.; cousins, Wayne (Essie) Kletchka of Spread Eagle, Tina Griggs of Iron Mountain, Tim Griggs of Iron Mountain; one nephew, Shane Ottinger of Green Bay;one niece, Corrine Ottinger of Niagara; very special friends, Billy Jo Scheffler of Florence and Tracy McNeill of North Dakota as well as many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father & mother-in law, John & Susan (Youren) Ottingter.

Visitation will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. Doug Johnson and Rev. Walter Reichle will concelebrate. Burial will be in Commonwealth Cemetery, Commonwealth, Wis.

The family has chosen the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence, to honor Roxanne’s Legacy of Life.
