CRYSTAL FALLS - Donald A. Foucault, 92, of Crystal Falls, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016, at the Oscar G. Johnson Veterans Hospital in Iron Mountain.

He was born February 18, 1924, in Crystal Falls, son of the late Albert and Mary (Ollis) Foucault.

Don was a lifelong resident of Crystal Falls and attended school there. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and his tour took him to the South Pacific where he saw a lot of action. Don worked for the MA Hannah Mining Company, Republic Steel, the Crystal Manor Nursing Home, for 18 years and was the owner of the Falls Motel.

He was a member of the United Lutheran Church, Crystal Falls, a member of the VFW Tufts-Rondin Post No. 2891 and the American Legion Post No. 87, both of Crystal Falls.

Don enjoyed fishing, hunting and all the outdoors had to offer. He was a great story teller and loved to play cards.

Don is survived by three sons, Paul (Carol) Foucault of Crystal Falls, John (Suzie) Foucault of Green Bay, Wis. and Roy Foucault of Crystal Falls; one daughter, Donna (Bob) VanSickle of Crystal Falls; four grandchildren, Deanna Kopp, Jason VanSickle, Marnie Martinson and Megan Falk; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Harrold Foucault and one sister, Violet Johnson.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 7, 2016, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the United Lutheran Church, Crystal Falls. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, 1:00 p.m. at the church. Pastor Micheal Laakko will officiate. Burial will be held in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery, Crystal Falls. The Eastside Veteran’s Council will accord Military Honors at graveside.

In Don's memory donations can be made to the Crystal Falls VFW Tufts-Rondin Post No. 2891 or to the United Lutheran Church in Crystal Falls.

The family has chosen the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls to honor Don’s Legacy of Life.
