Judith F. Wirth (Smith)
AMBERG, Wis. – Judith F. Wirth, 76, of Amberg passed away peacefully on Monday, March 7, 2016, at her home.

She was born September 17, 1939, in Oconomowoc, Wis., daughter of the late Paul and Martha Smith.

Judith grew up in Oconomowoc, Wis. and graduated from High School there. She worked at Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company in Milwaukee, Wis. until she had her first child, Patrick Szalanski. A few years later she had a beautiful little girl, Mary Herlache. After chasing her children around for a few years she went to work at the Mirro Aluminum Co (Wismarq Corp) in Oconomowoc as a Lab Inspector and Supervisor for 30 years. As Judith's children grew up she was an active member of the PTA, Cub Scout leader, basketball tournament volunteer, and anything that was needed at St. Bruno's School in Dousman, Wis. She married Keith Wirth on June 4, 1999, in Jefferson, Wis. She retired in 2001 and moved to Amberg.
She enjoyed going to the casino, watching the birds and deer and all the outdoors had to offer.

Judith is survived by her husband of 16 years, Keith;, one son, Patrick Szalanski (Nancy Mattson); one daughter, Mary Herlache (Gerald Kocken); one sister, Helen Neumann; her grandchildren, Nicole (Andy) Wiedemeier, Justin & Carter Szalanski and her great-grandchildren, Eliana May & Taylor Lee Wiedemeier and many cousins, nieces, nephews and in-laws.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lucille (Desmond) Laabs, Ruth (Harvey) Eckert, Robert (Lorraine) Smith, Patrick (Marcella) Smith, Rita (Glen) Sjoberg, Rosemarie Popp and her brother-in-law Walter Neumann.
