Carolyn A.  Buenger (Sellers)
AURORA, Wis. - Carolyn K. Buenger, 82, of Aurora, passed away Monday, March 1, 2016, at her home.

She was born April 3, 1933, in Eaton Rapids, Mich. daughter of the late William and Pauline (Kaylor) Sellers.

Carolyn graduated from Midland High School, Class of 1951. While in high school, she worked at Dow Chemical Company as a secretary, and continued to work there after high school for a few years. She married Paul Buenger on June 7, 1953, in Midland; he preceded her in death on July 12, 1991. They resided in Charlotte, Mich., Marshall, Mich., and from 1964 to 1974, Manistee, Mich. In 1974, they moved to Kingsford, where they resided for a few years, and in 1978, purchased the family farm in Aurora.

She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, Kingsford, where she was active in the Ladies and Altar Guild. Carolyn enjoyed gardening, bowling, fishing, baking and the time she spent with her family and grandchildren.

Carolyn is survived by one son, James (Payao “PJ”) Buenger, of Aurora; one daughter, Vicki (James) Weber, of Norway, Mich.; one brother, Gordon (Kathy) Sellers, of L’Anse, Mich.; one sister, Janna (Howard) Baker, of Grand Marais, Mich.; seven grandchildren, James Buenger, Matthew (Heather) Ruesch, Brad (Rebecca) Ruesch, Adam (Hannah) Ruesch, Jenna (Jason) Zdunek, Ashley Weber and Faith Weber and nine great-grandchildren, Jaylyn, Isabella, Paul, Sofia, Ketan, Parker, Braylon, Nolan and Willow.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Paul, she was preceded in death by one infant great-grandson, Levi.

In accordance with Carolyn’s wishes private family services will be held. Burial will be in Aurora Cemetery in the spring.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain to honor Carolyn’s Legacy of Life.
