Obituary for Patricia M Swiss

Patricia M  Swiss
Felch, Michigan:

Patricia M. Swiss, 75, of Felch, passed away Thursday, November 12, 2015, peacefully at her home surrounded by family.

She was born September 10, 1940, in Petoskey, Mich. daughter of the late John and Elsie (Darrow) Gokee.

Pat grew up in Harbor Springs, Mich. and graduated from Harbor Springs High School, Class of 1959. She married Raymond Swiss on July 31, 1959; they resided in Kalamazoo, Mich. He preceded her in death May 9, 2014. In 1970, they moved back home to Emmett County to raise their family. They moved to the Upper Peninsula in 1998, to be closer to their grandchildren.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, canning and gardening. Pat especially enjoyed the time that she spent with her friends, family and grandchildren.

Pat is survived by two sons, Stephen (Karen) Swiss, Felch and Brad (Nikki) Swiss, Republic, Mich.; one daughter, Gayle Urban, Gwinn, Mich.; one brother, Sam (Bonnie) Gokee, Harbor Springs; five sisters, Joann Cameron, Harbor Springs, Carol Gokee, Zephyr Hills, Fla., Diane Livingston and Debbie Otero, both of Petoskey, Mich., and Dawn (Dan) Brown, Holton, Kans.; seven grandchildren, Katie, Ben (Jamie), Sarah, Emily, Raymond, Rachel and Cameron; five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Raymond, she was preceded in death by one son, Cameron Gregory Swiss.

Graveside services will be announced in the spring.
