Obituary for James W. Waldo

James W.   Waldo
James Walter Waldo, 63, known as “six footer” by friends, in Crystal Falls, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015, at Aspirus Iron River Hospital.

He was born August 20, 1952, in Crystal Falls, son of the late John and Theresa (Maki) Hermanson.

Jim married his high school sweetheart, Joann Mlinarcik on September 30, 1972, at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Crystal Falls. He worked for the Pine River Lumber Company and the Ned Lake Land and Timber Company, before working as a self-employed logger for over 25 years.

He enjoyed the outdoors, picking berries and mushrooms, ice fishing and woodworking.

Jim is survived by his wife Joann; one brother, Alan “Butch” (Sherry Jordan) Hermanson, Sun Lakes, Ariz.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his father John Waldo; one son, Nicky James; two brothers, Johnny Hermanson and Harold Waldo.

Private family visitation and services will be held at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home. Rev. Fr. Jose Maramattam will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls.

The family has chosen the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls to honor Jim’s Legacy of Life.
