Obituary for Marilyn J. Parker (Hillberg)

Marilyn J.  Parker (Hillberg)
Marilyn J. Parker, 86, of Florence, passed away Monday, August 03, 2015, at Golden Living Center, Florence.

She was born July 18, 1929, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Carl and Lillian (Budzak) Hillberg.

Marilyn grew up in Florence and graduated from Florence High School. She married William “Bill” Parker at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Florence; he preceded her in death October 9, 2013. Marilyn worked for the Florence School District as a Library Aid for many years. She was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid, Florence and volunteered at the Golden Living Center; she enjoyed sewing, reading and crafts.

She is survived by three daughters, Karlyn (Randy) Osterberg, Aurora, Wis., Renee (James) Kanyuh, Vulcan, Mich. and Leanne (Claude) Wilcox, Florence; seven grandchildren, Andrew (Jessica), Karl (Tina), Jeffrey (Melinda), Jason (Andrea), Shawn, Sherry (Gary) and Kristina; six great-grandchildren, Jack, Mark, Paige, Alexis, Brooklyn, Tyler and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Thursday, August 6, 2015, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church, Florence. Funeral Services will be Thursday, 11:00 a.m. at the church. Rev. Robin Zeratsky will officiate. Burial will be in Commonwealth Cemetery, Commonwealth, Wis.
