Obituary for Darold C. Butterfield

Darold C.  Butterfield
Darold Clyde Butterfield, 77, passed away peacefully at his home on May 9, 2015.

He was born May 26, 1937, the youngest of four children, in Pembine, Wis., to the late Clyde and Louise (Francis) Butterfield.

The family relocated to Spread Eagle, Wis. where Darold went on to attend Florence Schools. In August of 1957, he married the love of his life, Florence June Olive, and they raised their seven children on the family farm. With a passion for living, Darold had many talents and hobbies that included logging, bulldozing, gardening, crafting and so much more. He was known for his creativity and his knowledge of engineering projects. Darold built rock walls, barns, houses and many other structures. He loved to spend time with family and friends at picnics, playing cards, and cheering for the Packers. His love for family was most important to him. Darold touched the lives of all who met him and will be fondly remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Florence; four sons, Michael (Mary Harry) Butterfield, Jack (Gail) Butterfield, Bob (Michele Mack) Butterfield and Bill (Tammy Lewis) Butterfield; three daughters, Donna (Russ) Malinowski, Margie (Ron) Yadro and Nancy (Mark) Gomez; three brothers-in-law, Martin (Clara Butterfield) Koski, Keith (Lois) Olive and Clyde (Dianne Koski) Olive; two sisters-in-law, Helen (Olive) Taff and Betty (Olive) Karle; seventeen grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Darold was preceded in death by three sisters, Margaret (Joe) Mulberg, Ida (Alex) Mulmstead, and Clara (Martin) Koski; three sisters-in-law, Dorothy Olive, Mildred (Olive) Taff and Barbara Olive and one daughter-in-law, Delores Butterfield.

Visitation will be Wednesday, May 13, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Doug Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Florence, Wis.

The family has chosen the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence to honor Darold’s Legacy of Life.
