Obituary for Dolores J. Pouliot (Vondell)
Dolores J. Pouliot, 92, of Crystal Falls, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, Crystal Falls.
She was born March 23, 1923, in Aurora, Wis., daughter of the late Edward and Anna (Olson) Vondell.
Dolores grew up in Aurora and attended school there. She married Bernard Pouliot on June 14, 1941, in Hermansville, Mich.; he preceded her in death in November, 1995.
She enjoyed baking, cooking, singing, soap operas, bingo and bowling. Dolores was a member of the “Sewing Club of Aurora”, the Singing Strings and the Aurora Free Church choir.
Dolores is survived by two sons, James (Becky) Pouliot, Zephyrhills, Fla. and Ray (Sandy) Pouliot, Merriman, Mich.; two daughters, Jean (Gale) Starnes, Niagara, Wis. and Ann Strutz, Merriman; ten grandchildren, Michelle (Richard) Arden, Jason (Paula) Pouliot, Mike (Jody) Pouliot, Lori (Todd) Lewis, Rory (Laura) Starnes, Ginger Perron, Lee Starnes, Shane (Lisa) Strutz, Chad (Lisa) Strutz and Clint (Heidi) Strutz; nineteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; three special cousins, Lorraine, Lois and Margaret and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Bernard, she was preceded in death by one sister, Ann (Howard) Broullire; five brothers, Edward (Jackie) Vondell, Elmer (Marion), Walter (June), George (Carol) and James (Joyce) Lindgren and one son-in-law, John Strutz.
In accordance with Dolores’s wishes private family visitation and services will be held.
The family has chosen the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home, Crystal Falls to honor Dolores’s Legacy of Life.
