Obituary for Frank J. Landsee

Frank J.  Landsee
Frank John Landsee Jr., 73, of Iron Mountain, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015, at Agrace Hospice Care, Madison, Wis.

He was born June 19, 1941, in Milwaukee, Wis. son of the late Frank and Violet (Thompsen) Landsee.

Frank graduated from South Division High School in Milwaukee, Wis. and worked for Wisconsin Electric Power Company for 40 years. He married Maria Kezerle on July 7, 1962, at St. John Cathedral, Milwaukee.

He was an avid Mountaineer, Badger and Packer fan. Frank loved spending time at his cottage with his family, especially his grandchildren and enjoyed doing many projects around the house. He was a member of St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Iron Mountain and was a devoted catholic and true gentleman.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Maria; his children, Elizabeth (Bill) Czernek, Iron Mountain, Robert (Sharon) Landsee, Sun Prairie, Wis. and Katherine Landsee-Huschitt, Colgate, Wis; grandchildren, Sara, Melissa, Casey, Joseph, Claire, Isabella, and Cecilia; two brothers, Doug (Nancy)Landsee , Richland Center, Wis. and Richard (Roberta) Landsee, Whitewater, Wis.; many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, Frank and Violet Landsee, he was preceded in death by his father and mother- in-law, Emil and Elizabeth Kezerle.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 7, 2015, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at St. Mary and St. Joseph Catholic Church, Iron Mountain. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, 2:00 p.m. at the church. Rev. Fr. Dan Zaloga and Deacon Don Christy will con-celebrate. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain in the spring.

Pallbearers will be Robert Jayne, KC Czernek, Joe Czernek, David Taff, Jeff Michaud, Matt Landsee and Ben Landsee.

Memorial donations will be gifted to several organizations that were close to Frank’s heart. The family gives a special thank you to Deacon Don Christy and his wife, Donna, for their spiritual support.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain to honor Frank’s Legacy of Life.
