Obituary for Norman L. Reardon

Norman L. Reardon
In loving memory of Norman L. Reardon, who went to be with the Lord on Feb. 15, 2015, at the age of 64.

He was born in Danville, Ky., on Sept. 17, 1950. He lived in Sault Ste. Marie until April 2013.

Norman was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and the U.S. Navy from 1967-1991. Norman was honorably discharged, receiving the National Defense Service Medal, the Vietnam Service Medal, the Combat Action Ribbon and the Rifle Marksman Badge. He was a very proud soldier.

He enjoyed his employment at Big Boy Restaurant as a short-order cook. His many hobbies included the history of trains and railroads. Norman studied meteorology while in the service and often tracked the weather on his computer. He also enjoyed combat video games.

Norman was very proud of his Irish-Native American heritage.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Green Reardon and Shirley Mae (Wallace) Reardon of Florida.

He will be greatly missed by his dear friends Kathy Morey and Bill Johnson of Kincheloe, Mich.

A very special thank you to all the wonderful staff — doctors, nurses, and aides at the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center for their tender, loving care during Norm’s stay in the Community Living Center.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain to honor Norman’s Legacy of Life.

You may light a candle in remembrance of Norman or leave a condolence for his family online at www.JacobsFuneralHomes.com
