Obituary for Jeanine J. Smith (Olson)

Jeanine J.  Smith (Olson)
Jeanine J. Smith, 84, of Dunbar, passed away, Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home, Niagara, Wis.

She was born February 18, 1930, in Niagara, daughter of the late Arthur and Caroline (Strouf) Olson.

Jeanine grew up in Niagara and graduated from Niagara High School, Class of 1948. She worked in Manitowoc, Wis. and California before moving back to Manitowoc. Jeanine married Richard Smith and he preceded her in death in 1999. They resided in Manitowoc and Manitowoc Rapids for many years and in 2005, she moved back to Pembine, Wis. to be closer to her sister.

She enjoyed crafting, reading and doing crossword puzzles.

Jeanine is survived by two sons, Rick Smith, Manitowoc and Paul (Wendy) Smith, Manitowoc; three daughters, Kathy (Mike) Keil, Kellnersville, Wis., Lori Herschell, Medford, Wis. and Wendy (Donald) Reed, Gig Harbor, Wash.; one sister, Lou Ann Greenwood, Pembine and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Richard, she was preceded in death by two sons, Steven Smith and Scott Smith and one brother, Bill Olson.

In accordance with Jeanine’s wishes private family visitation and services were held.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel to honor Jeanine’s Legacy of Life.
