Obituary for Joy M. McTrusty

Joy M.  McTrusty
Joy M. McTrusty, 46, of Niagara, passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, at Dickinson County Health System, Iron Mountain.

She was born January 17, 1969, in Brunswick, Maine, daughter of the late Louis and Darlene (Rumpf) McTrusty.

Joy grew up and attended school in Florence and later in Kingsford. She resided for many years in Aurora, Wis. Joy worked as a cashier at Walmart for six years. She loved crocheting, collecting ceramic owls and dragons and was a big animal lover, leaving behind her 24 ½ pound Maine Coon Cat, named Pikachu. Joy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her partner of many years, Mike Kelley and his son Mikey Kelley, Jr., both of Niagara; one son, Shane Ottinger, Green Bay, Wis.; one daughter, Corrine Ottinger, Green Bay; two sisters, Jodi (Richard Bullock) O’Keeffe, O’Fallon, Ill. and Juli Fortner, Fla. and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be Sunday, February 15, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. A Celebration of life Service will be held Sunday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel to honor Joy’s Legacy of Life.
