Obituary for Christine L. Edwards (Sharkey)

Christine L.  Edwards (Sharkey)
Christine L. Edwards, 66, of Aurora, Wis., passed away Thursday, December 18, 2014, at her home.

She was born June 20, 1948, in Escanaba, Mich., daughter of the late John and Rose (LeQuia) Sharkey.

Chris grew up and graduated from high school in Portage, Ind. She worked for Bethlehem Steel Company in Indiana for 10 years before moving to Iron Mountain, Mich., to be closer to her mother. While living in Iron Mountain, she worked for many years at the Hallmark Store. Chris married Chuck Edwards on November 22, 1996, in Iron Mountain, and they resided in Aurora.

She was a member of Homestead Baptist Church, Homestead, Wis. Chris enjoyed painting, craft work, and trading and selling antiques and other items on EBay and Esty.

Chris is survived by her husband, Chuck; one sister-in-law, Connie (Gerald) Bartholomew, Iron Mountain; one niece, Amy Kleminski; one nephew, Christopher (Abigail) Kleminski and many cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Robin Kleminski.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 23, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Rev. David Benson will officiate.
