Obituary for Roger L. Malueg

Roger L.  Malueg
Roger L. Malueg, 76, of Fern, passed away, Thursday, November 27, 2014, at Dickinson County Health Care System, Iron Mountain.

He was born January 26, 1938, in Bowler, Wis. son of the late Lawrence and Mabel (Kloth) Malueg.

Roger grew up in Bowler and graduated from Bowler High School. He worked for John Oster Company for over 30 years and then for Standard Machine, Saukville, Wis., for 15 years, retiring from there. Roger married Marion Nelson on May 12, 1962, in Skanee, Mich. They resided in Milwaukee, Wis. and Grafton, Wis. before moving to Florence in 2003, to retire.

He enjoyed watching baseball, car racing and sporting events. Roger had a special place in his heart for his grandchildren, Kristen and Justin. He loved to watch his granddaughter play volleyball for Florence High School and was most proud of his grandson Justin who was a graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. Roger’s family was most important to him.

Roger is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marion; one daughter, Delaine (James) Schroeder, Florence; one sister, Marlene (Richard) Johnson, Shawano, Wis.; two grandchildren, Justin and Kristen Schroeder and one niece.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Diane Boldig and one nephew.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 4, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rev. James Danielson will officiate.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain to honor Roger’s Legacy of Life.
