Obituary for Arnold F. "Arnie" Marble

Arnold F. "Arnie"  Marble
Arnold “Arnie” F. Marble, 74, of Fence, Wis. passed away Friday, November 29, 2014, at the University of Wisconsin Hospital, Madison, Wis.

He was born May 17, 1940, in Aurora, Wis., son of the late Merrill and Esther (Wirtz) Marble.

Arnie graduated from Florence High School, he went on to work in Racine, Wis. and Madison before returning to Fence. He worked for Lodal Manufacturing for many years. Arnie loved telling stories of his life to his family or anyone who would like to listen. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors, riding his ATV, the Wisconsin Badgers, and Green Bay Packers and was a big Bret Favre fan. Arnie loved to collect memorabilia items. He was a fan of Elvis Presley, Willie Nelson, Country Music and fifties and sixties music. His family and friends were most important to him.

He is survived by one son, Randy Gardepy, Beaver Dam, Wis.; very special friend, Connie O’Leary, Beaver Dam; two brothers, Leslie “Peeler” (Carol) Marble, Aurora, Wis. and James (Carolyn) Marble, Mankato, Minn.; two grandchildren, Mallory (Luke) Burie, Gladstone, Mich. and Sean Salzsieder, Oconto Falls, Wis.; two great-grandchildren, Aiden and Nolan Burie and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Merrill “Sonny” Marble and two sisters, Helen Blank and Faye Malmquist.

Visitation will be held Saturday, May 23, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain. Burial will be in Aurora Cemetery, in the spring.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain to honor Arnie’s Legacy of Life.
