Obituary for Anna K. May (Biliskov)

Anna K.  May (Biliskov)
Anna K. May, 91, of Iron Mountain, formerly of Baldwin, Mich., passed away Friday, November 28, 2014, at her home.

She was born May 10, 1923, in Chicago, Ill. daughter of the late Angelo and Eva (Bedalov) Biliskov.

Anna grew up in Chicago. She married Stephen Komar in Chicago and they resided in Nirvana, Mich; he preceded her in death in 1956. Anna then married Henry May in Baldwin, and he preceded her in death in 1989. In 2008, Anna moved to Iron Mountain to be closer to her daughter, Stella. She attended Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church, Iron Mountain.

She enjoyed all types of crafts and was a fabulous knitter and doll maker. Anna will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Anna is survived by four sons, Ted (Carol) May, Marysville, Mich., George (Vickie) Komar, Grand Rapids, Mich., Phillip (Jamie) Komar, N.C. and James May, Traverse City, MIch.; six daughters, Stephany (Joe) Kutchinski, Baldwin, Sophia (Edwin) Ortiz, Grand Rapids, Stella (Wayne) Warner, Iron Mountain, Josephine Smith, Baldwin, Annie Files, Orlando, Fla. and Kathleen (Ron) May, Big Rapids, Mich.; three brothers, George (Marie) Biliskov, Milwaukee, Wis., Ray (Jan) Biliskov, Chicago and Tony (Sylvia) Biliskov, Edwardsburg, Mich.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Stephen and Henry, she was preceded in death by one brother, Emil Biliskov.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 6, 2014, 11:00 a.m. at St. Ann Catholic Church, 1001 Michigan Ave. Baldwin, MI 49304.

The family has chosen the Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain to honor Anna’s Legacy of Life.
