Genevieve Ruth  Raboin (Jenkins)
Genevieve Ruth Raboin, 100, of Florence, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2014, at the Golden Living Center, Florence.

She was born April 28, 1914, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Nelson and LaVina (McDermott) Jenkins.

The family moved to Niagara, Wis. and Genevieve graduated from Niagara High School, Class of 1931. She married Louis Nabbefeld , also of Niagara, in 1933. He preceded her in death in 1966. They moved to DeWitt, Mich. where they resided with their three sons, Louis Jr., Keith and Richard.

Genevieve married Rodney Raboin on March 30, 1975, and the couple spent their summers on Lake Emily in Florence and wintered in Englewood, Fla. He preceded her in death in 2010. She was very proud to celebrate her 100th birthday in conjunction with the Niagara Centennial, to be included in the festivities, and was honored to be one of the marshals in the parade.

She is survived by one son, Richard (Pam) Nabbefeld, Lake, Mich.; six step-children, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to her parents and husbands, Louis and Rodney, she was preceded in death by two sons, Louis Jr. and Keith Nabbefeld and three sisters.

In accordance with her wishes, private family visitation and services were held. Burial will be in DeWitt Cemetery, DeWitt, Mich.

The family thanks, with great appreciation and love, the staff and residents of the Golden Living Center in Florence for their care and continued kindness.
