Obituary for Phyllis J. Novak (McCoy)

Phyllis J.  Novak (McCoy)
Phyllis J. Novak, 69, of Florence, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014, at her home.

She was born October 6, 1945, in Stambaugh, Mich., daughter of the late Fred and Ella (Olson) McCoy.

Phyllis was a lifelong resident of Florence. She married Allen Novak on November 29, 1966, in Florence. Phyllis enjoyed picking berries, watching the birds, gardening, cooking and especially spending time with her family and grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her best friend and soul mate, Allen “Pinky” ; two daughters, Lauri (Lawrence) Vassar, Florence and Lisa (Brian) Sargent, Florence; two brothers, Rick McCoy, Florence and Dan (Debbie) McCoy, Florence; three sisters, Linda McCoy, Florence, Sandy McCoy, Florence and Shirley (Scott) Waite, Florence; four grandchildren, Allen, Shannon, Cody and Ashley and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Jim and Raymond and two sisters, Nora McCoy and Rosalie Anderson.

In accordance with Phyllis’s wishes private family visitation and services will be held.

The family has chosen the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence to honor Phyllis’s Legacy of Life.
