Obituary for Stanley Siodlak

Stanley  Siodlak
Stanley Siodlak, 61, of Florence, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2014, at his home.

He was born July 6, 1953, in Piekelnik, Poland son of the late Walter and Stephanie (Rokiski) Siodlak.

Stanley resided in Poland until age 10, when he moved to America. He resided in Chicago, Ill. where he worked at his family’s tavern and later at the Chicago O’Hare Airport. In 1979, he moved to Florence where he helped his father Wally, at Wally’s Bar and he owned the Florence Laundry Mat which he sold in 1985. In 1985, he moved back to Chicago and in 2010, relocated back to Florence.

He was very ambitious and his work was his life.

Stanley is survived by his soul-mate, Josephine; one daughter, Jean Siodlak, Chicago; one brother, Wally Siodlak and one sister, Jean (Jeff) Gribble, Florence.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, October 28, 2014, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, 1:00 p.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence. Rev. Fr. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Commonwealth, Wis.

The family has chosen the Jacobs-Lundholm Funeral Home, Florence to honor Stanley’s Legacy of Life.
