Carolyn Y.  Quick (Johnston)
Carolyn Y. Quick, 83, of Iron Mountain, passed away, Thursday, January 09, 2014, at Freeman’s Nursing Home, Kingsford, Mich.

She was born July 2, 1930, in Eveleth, Minn., daughter of the late Wilfred and Esther (Anderson) Johnston. Carolyn married George Quick, August 23, 1975, in Iron Mountain; he preceded her in death July 3, 2010. Carolyn and George lived in Green Bay, Wis., for a short time before moving back to Iron Mountain in 1976. She enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, cooking and especially spending time with her family and friends during their gatherings.

Carolyn is survived by one sister, Elizabeth “Bunny” Burleigh, Virginia, Minn.; one sister-in-law, Joyce Quick, Milwaukee, Wis.; two nieces, Sue Richtig, Kingsford and Jean Rea, Iron Mountain; one nephew, Terry (Julie) Quick, Quinnesec, Mich.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, numerous other nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Karen Peronto, Kingsford.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Bernice and her brother-in-law, Peter Quick.

In accordance with Carolyn’s wishes, private family services were held. Burial will be in Cemetery Park, Iron Mountain.
