Gregory Allen Zaidel, 54, of Bethlehem, Pa., passed away suddenly, Thursday, October 17, 2013.

He was born January 16, 1959, in Iron Mountain, Mich.

Gregory grew up in Niagara, Wis. He was the younger of one sibling. Gregory graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire in 1984 with a BS in Chemistry and Business Administration.

He was a marketing executive working in the pharmaceutical industry for over 25 years. He loved his daughter, who was his pride and joy. Gregory also loved animals, especially his beloved German Shepherd “Maggie”; he was an avid equestrian, spending many memorable summers riding with his daughter. Gregory was a natural athlete and loved to play tennis, baseball, and football. He enjoyed organizing parties for the family, preparing gourmet meals, baking for the holidays, and especially enjoyed the fall season.

Gregory is survived by his daughter Rachael Anne Zaidel, Whitinsville, Mass.; his mother Lorraine (Piatti) Zaidel, Niagara; one sister, Roxanne (Glen) Larsen, Niagara; two nieces, Marisa (Jeff) Walters, Spread Eagle, Wis. and Lindsey (Jeremy) Smith, Litchfield Park, Ariz.; one nephew, Tobin (Emily) Larsen ,Appleton, Wis.; his former wife, Kimberly Anne (Putnam) Zaidel.

He was predeceased in death by his infant son, John Joseph Zaidel and his father John Joseph Zaidel.

The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville. He will be laid to rest by his son in Riverside Cemetery, Grafton.
