Homestead:
Frank George Yadro, 95, of Homestead, WI, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, February 4, 2006, at his home.
Frank was born in Roslyn, WA, January 31, 1911, as the fifth child of George and Antonia (Kauzlaric) Yadro, immigrants of Croatia. At the age of four, Antonia passed away, and his father married Maria and she raised him. Frank spent his youth as a homesteader at a farm on Harding Road in Florence, WI, until leaving for Milwaukee to find work during the Depression. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps in 1942, maintaining aircraft during World War II. During a returned visit he met Jeanette Gremore of Commonwealth and married on November 4, 1948. The couple lived in Milwaukee, raised three children and operated a family business known as Yadro Chemical. They maintained close ties with family and friends in Florence County.
Frank enjoyed riding motorcycles, traveling, visiting with family and friends, and was an accomplished musician, inventor, and photographer.
Along with his parents, Frank was preceded in death by four brothers, Matthew, Charlie,
Larry, John, and one sister, Marie.
He is survived by his wife, Jeanette (Gremore) Yadro of Homestead; his brother, Nicholas (Emma) Yadro of Eagle River, WI; one daughter, Jenell Wiegel of Aurora, WI; two sons, Ronald (Margie) Yadro of Spread Eagle, WI, and Richard (Donna) Yadro of Homestead. He also leaves a former son-in-law Daniel Wiegel of Aurora, nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of this loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, cousin and friend at the Yadro Farm at 2581 Miller Road in Homestead on Sunday, February 12, 2006, from noon to 4:00p.m.
