Obituary for Thomas G. Ullenius

North Chicago, IL
Thomas G. Ullenius, age 62, of North Chicago, Illinois, formerly of Iron Mountain, died Tuesday, August 24, 2004, at his home in North Chicago.
Tom was born August 14, 1942, in Chicago, the son of the late Folke and Lilly Ullenius.
Tom lived in Iron Mountain from 1948 to 1953. He then moved back to Chicago. He graduated from the University of Wisconsin Platteville with an Industrial Engineering degree in 1969. Tom then moved back to Iron Mountain in 1969, where he owned and operated the Viking Machine Company until 1973. At which time he moved to North Chicago and worked for Peter Baker Construction Company, primarily as Superintendent of an asphalt manufacturing plant. He was an active member of the Iron Mountain-Kingsford Masonic Lodge 388 and the Iron Mountain Elks Club 700.
Tom is survived by two sisters Betty J. (Allen) Tuthill of Florida and Linda (Jerry) Honda of Chicago, a brother Kenneth F. (Janet) Ullenius of Merriman, and six nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday, August 29, 2004, from 2 – 3 p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. A Masonic Memorial Service will be offered Sunday 3:00p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home.
Memorials can be made to the Iron Mountain- Kingsford Masonic Lodge 388, in Tom’s memory.
