William W. Willis, 64, of Muskegon, Mich., passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 3, 2013, at Autumn Woods Health Care Facility, Warren. He was born December 31, 1948, in Muskegon, son of Richard and Grace (Murphy) Willis. On December 28, 1970, he married the former Norma Jean Groeneveld and later had his only son, Steven William Willis on December 30, 1974. William was a proud graduate of Michigan Technological University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He was an avid sportsmen and enjoyed hunting and fishing. William loved the outdoors, sunshine, and cooking. He competed in ball room dancing; and enjoyed visiting and dancing with friends in Myrtle Beach, SC. He is survived by one brother, Michael J. Willis, Sr.; one sister, Jeanette "Jan" S. (Willis) Edlund; two step-sisters, Patricia Fricke, Mary Schroeder; one step-brother, John Schroeder; one son, Steven (Shannon Macy) Willis; three grandchildren, Morgan, Luke, and Ryan.
