William C. Lassi, 90, Powers, formerly of Stambaugh, passed away Saturday, January 19, 2008, at Pine Crest Medical Care Facility, Powers. He was born November 21, 1917, in Beechwood, son of the late John and Wilhelmina (Blink) Lassi. He married Flora Montambo. She preceded him in death. Bill was a veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Army. He retired from Caspian Construction after many years of service. Survivors include, two sisters, Marie I. (Miklus) LaBay, Iron Mountain, Vieno Johnson, Iron Mountain; two nephews, Richard (Nancy) Hoag, Chicago, Ill., Raymond (Masako) Hoag, Florida, five nieces, Arlene (Odon) Coulon, San Diego, Calif., Carol Kriebal, Naples, Fla., Janet (Horace) Brady, Iron River, Denise (Luke) Ackerman, Lindenhurst, Ill., Sherry Gulberg, Iron Mountain, and Pat (Don) Arrowood, Iron Mountain.
