Niagara – William L. "Bill" Amundson, 72, of Niagara, Wisc., passed away on Friday, February 9, 2024, at Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center, Iron Mountain, Mich.

Bill was born on December 5, 1951, in LaCrosse, Wisc., to the late Robert L. and Mary (Mitchell) Amundson.

He married Debbie Michaud on September 23, 1971, in Kingsford, Mich.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-two years, Debbie Amundson; children, William (Heather) Amundson, Jr., Syndie Jo Amundson; and Daniel (Amber) Amundson; brothers, Bob (Ellen) Amundson, and Howard Amundson; sister, Linda (Don) Perron; grandchildren, Kayla, Nick, Gabby, Damian, Peyton, Jayden, and Bo; and great-grandchildren, Giovanni, Jaxon, Lilly, and Stefan.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Lori Opshal.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 17, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., at Jacobs Funeral Home, Iron Mountain, Mich. Military Honors will be awarded by American Legion Post #50 at 11:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Bill's life on Saturday, February 17, 2024, with Pastor Jim Danielson officiating.
