Aurora:
Willard E. Osterberg, age 95, former life long resident of Aurora, Wisconsin, died Sunday, July 4, 2004, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Willard was born April 21, 1909, in Aurora, Wisconsin, the son of the late John and Matilda (Rask) Osterberg. Willard resided in Aurora and married Marjorie Tiderman. She preceded him in death in 1991. Willard owned and operated Osterberg Dairy for forty years from 1934 until 1974. He was an active member of the Iron Mountain Kingsford Masonic Lodge 388 and order of the Eastern Star. He was also an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Kingsford and former long time member of the Aurora Free Church in Aurora. Willard directed the choir accompanied by his wife Marjorie on the piano for thirty years at the Aurora Free Church. Also they performed for many weddings, funerals, programs, and functions in numerous other churches in the area. Willard also helped with many other singing groups. While living in Oklahoma City, he missed his friends in this area, whom he loved.
Willard is survived by one son John (Sharron) Osterberg of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Two granddaughters; Gayle Osterberg of Washington, DC, and Lynn (Jason) Smith of Oklahoma City, and one great grandson Reese Smith.
Besides his parents and wife Marjorie he is preceded in death by two sister Ethel Oman, and Edith Osterberg, and four brothers; Walford , Wesley, Evald, and Clarence.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 8, 2004, from 5 - 7p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron Mountain. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Kingsford. Rev. Michael March will officiate. Burial will be in Aurora Cemetery.
