Walter Rosenlof, age 93, of Crystal Falls, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2007, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls. He was born July 29, 1913, in Crystal Falls, son of the late Victor and Hilda (Ekola) Rosenlof. Walter grew up and attended school in Crystal Falls. He worked as a welder for many of the mining companies in the local area as well as helping many of the local residents with their welding needs. Walter was a member of the United Lutheran Church in Crystal Falls. He enjoyed many hobbies, but fishing was his favorite. Walter is survived by one sister, Mary Chapman, Ishpeming, Mich., several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, eight brothers, and two sisters. Graveside services will be held in the spring. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery in Crystal Falls.
