Walter W. Doerr, age 59, of Crystal Falls, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at Dickinson County Healthcare System in Iron Mountain. He was born May 26, 1947, in Cologne, Germany, son of the late William and Mary Doerr. Walter grew up in Chicago, IL. He married Linda Larsen on May 27, 1972 in Villa Park, IL. They resided in Illinois until 1989 where he was self-employed as an electrician. Walter and Linda moved to Crystal Falls, MI in 1989. He was self-employed as an electrician until 2003, when he went to work for Grede Foundry in Kingsford as an electrician and has been working there until the present. He is survived by his wife Linda, one son, Fred (Lynette Meier) Doerr of Eau Claire, Wisc., one daughter, Heather (Ken) Morrison of Central, Wisc., two brothers, Richard (Sandy) Doerr of Northlake, Ill., Raymond (Betty) Doerr of Las Vegas, Nev., two brothers-in-law, James (Georgia) Larsen of Elgin, Ill., Tom (Linda) Larsen of Plano, Ill., and one sister-in-law Donna (Bobby) Gruenwald of Villa Park, Ill., five grandchildren, Emily, Courtney, Chris, Heaven, and Elizabeth. Many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, June 5, 2006, from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00p.m. at Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home in Crystal Falls. Funeral Services will be at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral Home. Pastor Stephen Rhoades will officiate. The Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home of Crystal Falls is serving the family.
