Niagara: Violet D. Phillips age 91, of Niagara, Wisconsin died Saturday December 11, 2004 at Maryhill Manor Nursing Home in Niagara, Wisconsin.
Violet was born on November 21, 1913 in Niagara, Wisconsin daughter of the late Arthur and Sarah (Foley) Chaltry. Violet grew up and graduated from Niagara High School. She married Orville Phillips in Niagara, Wisconsin and he preceded her in death. Violet was an active member of both St. Anthony's Catholic Church and St. Anthony's Council of Catholic Women in Niagara. She enjoyed many hobbies including, knitting, crocheting, reading, spending time with her family and her love for baking especially her breads and cinnamon rolls they were the best.
She is survived by, three sons Richard (Christine) Phillips of Niagara, WI. Roger Phillips of Niagara, WI., Redginald (Sally) Phillips of Niagara, WI., Two daughters Connie Dennis of Kingsford, MI., and Donna (David) Kentgen of Burnsville, MN., A daughter in law Karen Phillips of Niagara, WI., 23 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband Orville Violet is preceded by three sons Roy, Raymond and Rolland. One brother and three sisters.
Visitation will Tuesday December 14, 2004 from 5-7p.m. at the Jacobs Funeral Home, Niagara Chapel. Funeral services will be Wednesday December 15, 2004 with a prayer service to be held 9:30a.m. at the funeral home and the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:00a.m. at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Niagara. Fr. Michael Betley will officiate. Burial will be in Niagara Cemetery.
