Obituary

Crystal Falls: Viola M. Brunelli, age 81, of Crystal Falls, passed away Friday, November 25, 2005 at Marquette General Hospital in Marquette, Michigan. Viola was born on December 23, 1923 in Marquette, daughter of the late John and Impi (Pykkonen) Luhta. She married Joseph Brunelli on March 27, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death in 1988. They resided in the Chicago area until they moved to Amasa in 1973. After her husband passed away Viola moved to Crystal Falls. She was an active member of both Bethany Lutheran Church in Amasa and United Lutheran Church of Crystal Falls. Viola is survived by two daughters, Joann Brunelli, Beth (Darryl DeNell) Brunelli, both of Crystal Falls; two brothers, Raymond (Harriet) Luhta, Pennsylvania, John Luhta, Alpena; five sisters, Helen (Francais) Miljour, Norma Korpi,of Suomi Location, Palmer, Mich., Ruth (Edward) Paulin, Ill., Irma (Gene) Cole, Calif., Kerry (John) Troutwine, Calif.; five grandchildren, Ana and Joseph Cornelia, Crystal Falls, Lissa and Jesse Hickman, Ariz., Nick Salazar, Santa Fe, New Mexico; and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Joseph Brunelli, and her parents, Viola was preceded in death by one daughter, Jan Salazar. Visitation will be Wednesday November, 30, 2005 from 9:30a.m. until 11:00a.m. at the Jacobs-Plowe Funeral Home in Crystal Falls, Mich. Funeral services will be Wednesday 11:00a.m. at the funeral home. Pastor Michael Laakko will officiate. Burial will be in Hematite Township Cemetery in the spring.
