Iron Mountain- Victoria L. Hicks, 70, of Iron Mountain, Mich., passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020, at ManorCare Nursing & Rehab., Kingsford, Mich. She was born November 21, 1949, in Iron Mountain, daughter of the late Raymond and Elizabeth Newstrom. Victoria was a lifelong resident of Iron Mountain and graduated from Iron Mountain High School. She married Marvin Hicks and they were married for over 20 years before he preceded her in death on January 17, 2013. Victoria worked as a CNA for a couple of years at Americana Nursing Home, Kingsford and enjoyed many hobbies including, cooking, playing Yahtzee, Skip-Bo, and 500 Rummy. She had beautiful flower gardens and she especially loved the time spent with good friends and her grandchildren over the years. Survivors include two sons, Bradley (Gina) Hicks, Iron Mountain and Shannon Hicks, Florida; one daughter, Sheri Hicks, Iron Mountain; two sisters, Elizabeth Anderson, Kingsford and Debbie Rose, Texas; four grandchildren, Carly, Bradley, Avery and Aaliyah; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Marvin, Victoria was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara. In accordance with Victoria's wishes, private family services will be held.
