Florence-Valeria R. DeMark, age 97, of Fond du Lac, formerly of Florence, Wisc., passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at St. Francis Home in Fond du Lac, Wisc. She was born October 21, 1918 in Milwaukee, Wisc., to the late Andrew and Katherine (Mleczka) Brej. Valeria was united in marriage to Samuel J. DeMark on August 5, 1940. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1997. Valeria has resided in Fond du Lac since October of 1998, to be near her children. She was a wonderful homemaker, cooked and baked delicious pies. She enjoyed her daily walks in the woods. Valeria was employed by Maraccini Cabinetry for a few years to help put the boys through college. She is survived by three sons, Michael DeMark of St. Cloud, Minn., Ronald (Ann) DeMark of Manitowoc, Wisc. and David (Ellen) DeMarco of Fond du Lac, Wisc.; six grandchildren, Roxanne DeMark of Florence, Wisc., Anthony (Katie) DeMarco of Fond du Lac, Wisc., Steve (Tami) DeMark of Woodbury, Minn., Danny (Charlene) DeMark of St. Joseph, Minn., Holly (Russell) Lilly of Waukesha, Wisc. and Nicholas DeMark of Stevens Point, Wisc.; ten great-grandchildren, Donny Grailer of Florence, Wisc., Valerie Grailer of Florence, Wisc., Kimberly (Troy) Wiese of Green Bay, Wisc., Adrian DeMarco of Fond du Lac, Wisc., Silas DeMarco of Fond du Lac, Wisc., Grant Loidolt of St. Joseph, Minn., Haylee DeMark of St. Joseph, Minn., Jordan DeMark of St. Joseph, Minn., Heather DeMark of Woodbury, Minn. and Meagen DeMark of Woodbury, Minn.; four great-great-grandchildren, Victoria Marefke of Florence, Wisc., Ely Marefke of Florence, Wisc., August Wiese of Green Bay, Wisc. and Lilah Wiese of Green Bay, Wisc. Valeria was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Frank Brej; and two sisters, Celia Beabeau and Juliana Banach. A visitation will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Florence, Wisc. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Rev. Matt Settle will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Commonwealth, Wisc.
